Data in this section are limited to data collected beginning March 10, 2020 through the date of the last update. This data pertains to the cases, deaths, and tested counts at the County level in Illinois. Case County designation is determined by county of residence of case. Hospitalization Utilization The data reported are based on daily counts that hospitals report to IDPH through EMResource. They should be considered provisional and may be subject to change as a result of IDPH’s continuous data validation and hospital follow-up efforts. These numbers are reported by Illinois acute care hospitals, including two Children’s Hospitals that report into EMResource. Veteran Administration (VA) and Specialty hospitals are not included in analysis. Total beds is the number of staffed Adult ICU, Med Surg, Burn, Psych, ED, AIIR, and OR beds and any other type of staffed beds. It excludes Peds, PICU, NICU. Total beds available is the number of Adult ICU, Med Surg, Burn, Psych, ED, AIIR OR, and other staffed beds that are currently vacant and available for immediate patient use.
