Risk Factors for Periodontal Disease

  • Not brushing or flossing regularly
  • Not receiving dental cleaning regularly
  • Drinking sugar sweetened beverages
  • Tobacco use

Preventing Periodontal Disease

  • Brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing
  • Receiving a cleaning and examination every 6 months
  • Limiting sugar sweetened beverages
  • Avoid using tobacco and vaping products
